Shop Update: Hypnotic Rings

The Hypnotic Rings are now available in my online shop.

Every ring is one of a kind, if you no longer see the piece you are looking for it’s because it has already sold.

I can cut these rings to fit any size between 5 and 10. Once I adjust your ring, you will still be able to open it half a size. Here is help if you are unsure of your size.

Wheel of Life Series

In its structure, my life has not changed much since the quarantine began, as I work from home and live alone. What has changed, is the quality of my time. Now that everyone lives like me, I feel less rushed and more at ease with my natural rhythm. I realized that the pressure for productivity had diminished my joy to create, and now I give each piece the time and space it needs. I experiment more, and often I spend all day drawing.

The Wheel of Life series was born during this period. I named each piece after a Hindu God of creation or destruction, as a reminder that in nature one cannot exist without the other. I will soon add the series to my online shop.

I hope that you and your loved ones stay in good health, and that during this time you also connect with your true nature.

Vishnu

We will remember these days as the time when we all lived (separately) as one.

Venture

I spent the morning writing blog posts. As I wrote, I felt inspired and confident. What great ideas! I thought. Now I’ve re-read them and they seem shallow and empty. Is this how I’ve been writing lately? For years? Stories I think are interesting, but are not worth reading at all?

Later, full of shame and regret, I realized there is no way to avoid this. I make a living by sharing what I create. Unless I show up as I am: informed or ignorant, profound or shallow, I cannot show up at all. When I work at my jewelry bench, I have to be willing to make junk or high art. I never know which is which, because there is no formula for either one.

A voice in my head says, who the hell are you to write about anything? Why should anyone care? I’m sure you hear it too. I think we all do. But I will continue to make things and write about them, because if I listened to this voice, I would be half dead. I’d no longer experiment and learn, fail and succeed. After all, everything is an attempt at something. Life itself is an attempt. I choose to participate.

Venture Ring.
Handmade with amethyst and recycled sterling silver.

Continuity

There is a space I enter when I am able to work in my studio for several days in a row. It is a deeper place in my mind where I feel more connected to my hands and body, and where I feel present as I chisel each tiny line on the surface of a piece. I call this space the blessing.

Continuity Ring.
Handmade with rainbow obsidian and recycled sterling silver.
Next week in my online shop.

Quietude

I love living alone. It makes me aware of my changing nature, of the cycles of my mind and body.
I rest when I am tired, eat when I am hungry, and connect with friends when I am full of energy.
I have the gift of time and space to integrate my experience of the world around me.

Quietude Ring.
Handmade with labradorite moonstone and recycled sterling silver.

Immerse

One of the things I most appreciate in my life is that I can read every day. It is how I make sense of the world and find out what interests me. It’s how I model those I admire, and uncover my shadow in those I reject. Reading expands my imagination and makes me feel intensely. Stories are how I learn.

Shop Update: Thorn Series

The Thorn Series is now available in my online shop.

Please let me know what size you would like your ring when you make your purchase. Here’s help if you need to calculate your ring size.

If the piece you are looking for is no longer in the shop, it has already sold.

Happy weekend!

Thorn Series

Thank you for your warm welcome! Your encouragement always inspires me.

I am finally settled into my new home, happy to be back at play in my studio.

The Thorn Series combines my favorite gemstone (fluorite) color (agave green) and plant (the maguey, mother of mezcal).

I will add this series to my online shop on Friday at 1 pm, CT.

Things to know before then:

I can cut any ring to fit size 6 to 10.

Once I cut your ring, you can still open it half a size.

I ship to most parts of the world.

Shipping in my Etsy shop is free.

Every piece I make is one of a kind and I don’t repeat it.

Thorn

I am strength and I am light. I am the beauty of the thorn and the sublime in pain. I am structure in chaos. I am a plant and I am a star. My insides cut and chop and rip out everything to grow and be reborn.

I am the cactus, I am the maguey. I am the deep well where everything rests. I am the void where life sprouts. I am the beginning and the end.

Amber Rings

I will add the Amber rings to my Etsy shop this Friday at 1 pm CST.
I can cut any ring to fit size 6 to 10. Once I cut your ring to fit you, you will still be able to open it half a size.
